The Statutes (Anggaran Dasar – AD) serve as the mandatory foundation for any organization. For Karang Taruna, this document outlines the core rules and principles that govern all board members and participants in their activities. These statutes must be implemented by the management team as established by the Village Head Decree.
As defined in the statutes, Karang Taruna is a social organization that functions as a vehicle for community development. It is built on social awareness and responsibility—created by, for, and of the community, specifically focusing on the younger generation and their involvement in social welfare efforts.
Scope of the Statutes (AD)
The Anggaran Dasar includes the following essential components:
- Preamble (Mukadimah): The introductory philosophy of the organization.
- Identity: Name, duration of establishment, and legal domicile.
- Definitions: Formal terminology regarding Karang Taruna.
- Principles & Objectives: The core mission and goals of the organization.
- Nature & Functions: The primary tasks and operational characteristics.
- Membership: Criteria and status for village youth.
- Organizational Structure: The internal hierarchy and departments.
- Deliberations: Procedures for official meetings and decision-making.
- Amendments: Legal protocols for changing the statutes.
Management Structure
The standard board structure as defined in the Statutes consists of:
- Patron (Pelindung): Providing high-level protection and authority.
- Advisor (Penasehat): Providing strategic guidance.
- Chairperson (Ketua): The executive leader.
- Secretary (Sekretaris): The administrative lead.
- Treasurer (Bendahara): The financial lead.
- Sections (Seksi-seksi): Specialized operational units.
Legitimacy and Approval
To be legally binding, the Statutes (AD) must be signed by the Chairperson and formally approved by the Village Head and the Village Consultative Body (BPD). This ensures that the organization operates in harmony with the broader village government framework.
