Supporting the acceleration of stunting reduction in villages involves promoting clean living habits, specifically ending open defecation. Village governments are encouraged to provide socialization and facilities to ensure their communities reach Open Defecation Free (ODF) status. For underprivileged families, the village government is obligated to facilitate “Jambanisasi” (latrine provision) to eliminate environmental health risks.
In certain regions like Situbondo Regency, village governments are mandated to budget for at least 10 latrine units annually, adjusted to each village’s ODF targets. This initiative is a direct implementation of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 72 of 2021 regarding the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction.
The Importance of ODF (Open Defecation Free)
ODF is a condition where every individual in a community uses proper sanitation facilities. Improper waste disposal significantly impacts the spread of environment-based diseases. Achieving ODF status is a key indicator for:
- Creating a healthy and hygienic living environment.
- Preventing the spread of water-borne diseases.
- Reducing stunting risks specifically within the family environment.
Technical Documentation and Planning
To assist in the 2026 fiscal year planning, we provide Design Drawings (AutoCAD) and Budget Plans (RAB in Excel) for family latrines. These documents serve as technical references for the APB Desa. Please note that while these templates provide a standard, the actual costs must be adjusted to the specific field conditions and local unit prices of each village.
Administrative Compliance:
- Procurement Standards: All construction activities must follow the guidelines for Village Goods and Services Procurement as regulated in LKPP Regulation No. 12 of 2019.
- Local Regulation: Specifically for Situbondo, procurement must comply with Perbup Situbondo No. 25 of 2020.
