Following the update of the Latest Village PKK Decree, it is necessary to renew the Dasawisma PKK Decree. As an inseparable unit of the Village PKK, Dasawisma must be restructured in accordance with Situbondo Regent Regulation Number 48 of 2023 regarding the Guidelines for Structuring Village Community Institutions and Customary Institutions.
A Dasawisma is a frontline group consisting of approximately 10 neighboring households (KK) within a hamlet. The management of this group is under the responsibility of the Family Welfare Empowerment Driving Team (TP-PKK) and is formally established through a Village Head Decree.
Objectives of the Dasawisma Group
The primary goal of Dasawisma is to support the implementation of core PKK programs, particularly focusing on improving Family Health. Their activities include social gatherings (arisan), constructing basic sanitation facilities (latrines and wells), and developing community health funds for activities such as supplementary feeding (PMT), minor medical care, and waste management.
These community-based initiatives aim to create an early warning and preparedness system regarding potential diseases and health issues that could threaten the local population.
Key Duties of Dasawisma
As specified in the Village Head Decree, the Dasawisma group is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Maternal & Infant Monitoring: Collecting data on pregnant women, births, postpartum mothers, and monitoring infant and toddler mortality rates.
- Population Data (LAMPID): Recording vital statistics, including births (Lahir), deaths (Meninggal), outward migration (Pindah), and inward migration (Datang).
- Community Mobilization: Encouraging members to participate actively in various social and community development activities.
- Information Management: Acting as a communication bridge by accessing and sharing data from the TP-PKK and the national family data centers.
Strategic Governance Impact
Dasawisma plays a pivotal role in the success of the PKK movement at the village, sub-district, and regency levels. By formalizing the SK Dasawisma PKK Desa, the Village Government strengthens its grassroots data accuracy, which is essential for Village SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 5: Gender Equality. This institution ensures that health and social interventions reach the most granular level—the household.
