The LPM Desa serves as a strategic partner outside the Village Government, established by a Village Head Decree to mobilize community participation. Its primary goal is to enhance public service delivery and ensure integrated development through community initiative and the traditional spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong).
Duties of the LPM

- Empowerment: Implementing programs to empower the village community across various sectors.
Core Functions of the LPM
The functions of the LPM extend beyond simple administration, focusing on community resilience and development quality:
- Communication Hub: Accommodating and channeling public aspirations to the government.
- Social Unity: Instilling and nurturing a sense of unity and national cohesion among residents.
- Service Acceleration: Improving the quality and speed of village government services to the community.
- Participatory Planning: Drafting, implementing, controlling, and developing development results in a participatory manner.
- Initiative Development: Growing and mobilizing community self-reliance and gotong royong.
- Welfare & Human Resources: Improving family welfare and the overall quality of human resources within the village.
