Village Status Classification

The closing articles of MoV Regulation No. 9/2024 establish the legal transition and continuity for village status:

1. Status Continuity: Villages designated as “Independent” in 2024 will maintain this status until 2026.
2. Re-verification: Villages ranging from “Extremely Disadvantaged” to “Advanced” that saw a status decline in 2024 will undergo a re-verification process in the following year.
3. Repeal of Previous Regulation: Upon the enactment of this policy, Permendesa Nomor 2 Tahun 2016 tentang Indeks Desa Membangun is officially revoked and declared void.
4. Enactment: This regulation became officially effective on October 18, 2024.
