Updating the IDM (Indeks Desa Membangun) data is a mandatory stage for every village. This process determines the current status of the village, which is a key variable in calculating the Village Fund (Dana Desa) allocation for the following fiscal year.
The Village Development Index (IDM) is a composite index formed from three main pillars:
- Social Resilience Index (IKS)
- Economic Resilience Index (IKE)
- Ecological/Environmental Resilience Index (IKL)
Village Status Classification
Based on Article 5 of Permendesa PDTT Number 2 of 2016, the progress and independence of a village are classified into five distinct statuses:
- Independent Village (Desa Mandiri) / Desa Sembada
- Advanced Village (Desa Maju) / Desa PraSembada
- Developing Village (Desa Berkembang) / Desa Madya
- Disadvantaged Village (Desa Tertinggal) / Desa PraMadya
- Very Disadvantaged Village (Desa Sangat Tertinggal) / Desa Pratama
